2020
INTERNSHIP
OPPORTUNITIES

The residency for the 2020 conference is June 4 through June 22.

Who we're looking for:

Ideal intern candidates are enthusiastic, dedicated workers with an interest in pursuing a career in theater.
We are looking for people who are detail-oriented, independent, and able to multi-task. Internships are open to undergraduates, graduate students, and young professionals.
To join the team you must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills. Supporting the work of playwrights through daily activities, you will gain insight, knowledge, and hands-on experience in all aspects of theater and new play development.  The internship program aims to provide you with valuable mentorship and applied training, bridging the gap between academic education and practice.  Internships are offered for the full two weeks of the conference and the three days immediately preceding the opening date.

A modest stipend is available for all internships.

What we do:

Our interns are integral to the functioning and continued success of the conference.
The Seven Devils Playwrights Conference supports the development of plays that embrace, explore and challenge the diverse geographical, philosophical, cultural, aesthetic and political landscape of the American experience.  As key team members, you will be expected to take on real responsibilities and show initiative during the conference. Our interns are invited and expected to participate in production meetings and special events, which may include (depending on conference schedule) first read-throughs, table and staging rehearsals, paper-tech, design meetings, talk-backs, and fundraising events.

We offer opportunities in a variety of interest areas including:

·       Scenic Design
·       General Management
·       Lighting and Sound
·       Stage Management

Benefits:
Our small, collaborative team creates opportunities for unique contact with our playwrights and the entire conference company. You will have mentoring throughout your internship to help you make contacts and advance your professional development.

When to apply:

Applications will be accepted from October 15th (12:00am EST) - March 1st (11:59pm PST)
All applications must be complete in order to be considered.  The Conference is the only project for which id Theater is
